Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs Driver Training Course is not scheduled yet and normally is held at the Echo Bay Community Hall (257 Church Street) from 9 am – 4 pm. The cost is $40 for those 12 years of age and older. You will need to bring to the course a proof of age such as your birth certificate. You need to contact Trisha at 705-248-1166 or email email@example.com if you are interested. You will need to bring a lunch, pen/pencil and know your mailing address for this course.
For those individuals who are 16 years and older and wish to take this course, a police record check is required prior to getting the license. Please contact Trisha at 705-248-1166 or firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The instructor for this course is Brian Ardiel. The full course is two and a half days (20 hours of instruction). The Fire Arm section is done on Friday evening and Saturday all day. You will have one hour of Hunters Education on Saturday too. The Fire Arm testing has a written test and a handling test which will be done on Saturday. The Hunters Education will be done on Sunday with the testing to be included as well.
Course will be held in May or June. It will be first come first serve. When the class is full (10 participants), there will be a waiting list. If there’s enough interest a second class may be organized. On Friday, the class starts at 6 pm – 10:30 pm. The day starts at 8:30 am for both Saturday and Sunday. Tests will be on both of these days respectively.

Need for Hunter Education course (HE):
Must be 12 years old to obtain apprenticeship card. Under 18 must have signed parental consent form – 2 pieces of identification; (Birth Certificate, Driver’s License, Passport, Bus Pass, Library Card, School ID Card, Possession and Acquisition License, Possession Only License, Native Status Card, Bank Card, Outdoors Card, Employment Card, Pleasure Craft Card, Scuba Card, Social Insurance Card, Health Card)
Need for Canadian Firearms Safety course (CFSC):
No age restriction. Under 18 must have signed parental consent form – 1 piece of identification (Driver’s License, Health Card, Social Insurance Card, Birth Certificate, Passport or Status Card)
Friday: 6:00pm – 10:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 5:30pm Sunday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Note (Sat & Sun classes may be a bit longer depending on how courses are going and number of students. Remember CFSC exams after class Sat. HE written on Sunday after class.)

Saturday night. The exam is in 2 parts – written (3 Hr. max) & individual practical. (1 hour limit) Need 40/50 or 80% to pass on each exam.
Sunday afternoon. HE exam written only (2 Hrs. max) Must answer 59/70 questions correctly or 84% to pass.
