I know that walking/running a road race is potentially a hazardous activity and I am aware of the inherent dangers of using the highway for running and will behave in a safe manner during the run. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health to do so. I assume all risks associated with walking/running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks are being known and appreciated by me. The route is clearly marked with pylons and as a participant I will stay within the designated route. Crossing Highway 17B will be done ONLY at the crosswalk and I understand that staff/volunteers will be present to assist with the crossing of this highway. Traffic will NOT be stopped to accommodate crossing Highway 17B. Runners must always wait until a break in traffic allows them to safely cross the highway.
I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Township of Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
