Please CLICK HERE for the most recent communication campaign created by Algoma Public Health. We are urging everyone to print and distribute or forward this campaign as far and wide as possible. Following the messaging in this campaign is crucial to control the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

The Government of Ontario, Premier Ford’s office, announced the extension of the emergency order.

This means he has extended the Declaration of Emergency and associated emergency measures while in addition to closing all outdoor recreational amenities, such as sports fields and playgrounds or where people gather effective immediately.

This includes Hurley Park & Tennis/Basketball Court; Memorial Park; Sportsplex Park & Ball Field; Milligan Gazebo & Park; Lake Street Bird Viewing Stand; Loon Dollar Park and Tower Lake Park.

At this point in time the municipal office is CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, but is still operating internally with reduced staff.  We will continue this service as long as we are able.  Things are changing rapidly and on a daily basis.  For up to date information on the COVID 19 Pandemic, you can continue to read below or go to Algoma Public Health website

If there is anyone in our community that requires supplies, groceries, etc., please contact the municipal office at 705-248-2441 and arrangements will be made.

The Echo Bay United Church Echo Bay & Area Food Bank has supplies available for anyone in our community.  You can call 705-987-1746.

Please adhere to the Algoma Public Health’s messaging with their “OPERATION AMPLIFY“.  We have provided information below that is extremely important for everyone to follow. HAND WASHING, SOCIAL DISTANCING, SELF ISOLATION, we ask that everyone do their part to keep our families and community safe until this Pandemic is over.

We are all in this together.
