Facilities Operator / Parks & Recreation

The Township is seeking a motivated, hands-on individual to join our team as a Facilities Operator / Parks & Recreation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the Sportsplex Arena (winter season)
  • Municipal grass cutting (summer season)
  • Parks & Recreation maintenance (summer season)
  • Building and facility maintenance (year-round)
  • Provide backup support to the Roads and Landfill Departments

Qualifications & Experience

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year related experience preferred
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence with clean abstract (DZ considered an asset)
  • Experience operating and maintaining equipment such as:
    • Ice making equipment / Zamboni/Olympia
    • Tractors and lawn maintenance equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform general repairs
  • General knowledge of road maintenance practices
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $27.48 – $31.05
  • 40-hour work week
